「ラッキー13」は、外観や原理こそ一般的なルアーに似ていますが、バランス、流線型のシルエット、そしてヘッド部分の設計に独自の改良が施されています。これにより、同タイプのルアー特有の変幻自在（イラティック）なスイミングアクションをより際立たせています。

キャスタビリティに優れ、真っ直ぐ正確に飛び、リールを巻くまでは水面に浮いています。ラインを引くと平均18インチまで潜り、うねるようなウェービングモーションに、時折素早いダートを交えながら泳ぎます。この動きが、周囲にいるあらゆるバスの好奇心を刺激します。3つのトレブルフックを装備。

The Heddon “Lucky 13,” Nos. 2400-2500 Series

While resembling in appearance and principle baits of standard popular acceptance, the “Lucky 13” possesses certain subtle improvements in balance, stream outline and head-planes that intensify the erratic swimming movements associated with baits of similar type.

The “Lucky 13” casts straight and true and floats on the surface until retrieved. Under the line pull, it drops to an average depth of eighteen inches below the surface, and comes in with an undulating, weaving motion, interrupted by short, quick darts that excite the curiosity of any bass in the vicinity. Equipped with three treble hooks.

“Lucky 13” is made in two sizes, as listed below.
